Sentinel editorial board misses the mark on early voting and high school rezoning
The parents involved in the Seminole high school rezoning effort worked diligently to produce plans that were equitable and responsible. The School Board tossed their months of effort aside for a plan of their own that was devised in a short period of time. The parents have earned the right to be treated much better than they have been, by both the School Board and the Orlando Sentinel.

It's time to get Grandma out from behind the wheel
The School Board appears to be a largely matronly group comprised of grandmotherly types, with avuncular-looking Barry Gainer thrown in for good measure. Once they go into action, though, it soon becomes obvious that Grandma has lost her mind, acting as a petulant and spoiled child beyond reason. Rather than being a caretaker for them, Uncle Barry instead acquiesces to their desires, apparently more concerned with protecting his inheritance than the children attending Seminole County schools.

Beating the Bushes for a Supervisor of Elections
Mike Ertel once campaigned for office by telling everyone about the embarrassment of being forced by his sister as a child to play dress-up in high heels, a skirt and lipstick. Let your imagination fill in the rest.
