Longwood city commissioners reversed themselves Monday evening and retained the early voting option within city limits for its residents.

Commissioners reconsidered the matter following public support of the early voting process during the public hearing portion of their meeting.

Following the public comment, commissioners debated the motion for approximately 30 minutes before voting to retain early voting within city limits.  The vote was unanimous, all five commissioners supporting retention.
